1. Fergus Canada Day Family Picnic

   Join in the fun and excitement of the celebrations for Canada Day in beautiful Fergus!

   Enjoy a relaxed, fun, family-friendly summer night that ends with a spectacular fireworks show.

   Beginning at 6pm, the evening includes live music, free face painting, and contests for the kids. The young children will enjoy a kiddie midway too!

   There’s plenty of food to purchase and one seriously large Canada Day cake!

   At 8pm, the Fergus Pipe Band will march in with great music too.

   And as the sun sets on a fabulous day, the night sky will light up with an epic fireworks display by David Whysall Fireworks.

   This event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Fergus Elora. Proceeds will go to support the Groves Hospital Foundation and local charities.

   Wear your red and white, bring you Canadian flags – and let’s celebrate our amazing Canada in style TOGETHER!

    

2. Dominion Day in Elora

   Celebrate Canada in the prettiest village!

   Elora’s Dominion Day is a wonderful community celebration and you’re invited.  Bring everyone! And don’t forget to buy your rubber duckie from the CW Rotary team for the annual duck race! QUACK!!

   Here’s the day’s line-up:

   7-11am – The Elora Firefighter’s Association host a delicious pancake breakfast at MacDonald Square. (They bring the fire trucks too!)

   8-11am – The Soap Box Derby races from the starting line at David and Geddes St and crosses the finish line near the TD Bank. It’s so much fun. Come cheer with us!

   11am – The Dominion Day Parade rolls through the heart of the village. Bring your flags and get ready to wave them.

   12-1:30pm – Bissell Park hosts plenty of fun activities, including live music, activities for the kids, the “Diamonds in the Ruff” dog agility show, and some fine Scottish Highland dancing from the Blue Bonnett Lassies.

   And if the pancakes didn’t fill you, enjoy free hot dogs and drinks from the Elora Lions! (first come, first served)

   1:30 – The CW Rotary Club tosses the rubber duckies into the Grand River for a race too adorable to miss. You just never know who will win.
